Joe Sixpack: A better grasp of beer through chemistry
West Chester University is a dry campus, but recently introduced a new course into their curriculum about beer. It is called the "Chemistry of Beer". It is a chemistry elective designed for students who aren't typically the science type. The course covers the brewing process, bottling, and evaluation. The students are even able to go on a field trip to a brewery. The course also has another purpose to teach students about the safety of alcohol.
