As China is one of the countries with a large population and power plants it produces a lot of carbon emissions which can be harmful to the atmosphere and people in large amount. China is mostly depending on coal for most of the electricity so it would be difficult to completely abandon fossil-fuel. However, the new clean energy research is focusing on new clean fossil-fuel technologies to reduce the emission. These technologies include cleaner fossil fuels, solar power, and fuel cell technologies. While these technologies are crucial in China there are other researches that need funding so they are hoping that the government of China realized the importance in this research to better China’s environment.

I'm happy to hear that China has put efforts to develop clean energy. China is now highly polluted as a result of consumption of fossile fuel, espeually in some more deveploped cities like Beijing and Shanghai. In my memory, the air in Beijing is always full of dusts with a smell of automobile exhaust, and even in a sunny day the sky may looks dusky. When it rains, your clothes may be stained by raindrops, because sometimes they are mixed with mud. According to a recent survey, the lifespan of a person may be shortened by five years if he or she lives in Beijing. Maybe it’s a little bit hard to believe, but it’s the reality. So the problem of pollution is very serious, and it is necessary to develop clean energy. I hope this research can achieve success soon and improve the environment of Chian in the future.
