Ethanol Fireplaces: The Underestimated Risk

This article is about the growing popularity of ethanol fireplaces, but not enough knowledge about how dangerous they can really be. Ethanol is a type of fuel when mixed with the elements in the air can become very combustible.  Not only are these fuels vary combustible, but they give of many different types of pollution like Carbon monoxide and Nitrogen dioxide. I find this article interesting because we are truly sometimes oblivious to what we put in our homes. My high school science once told us that in some homes, there are more pollutants inside the home than outside.  Not only is it bad we put more pollutants in our home with these ethanol fireplaces, but it's also a hazard and can contribute to many house fires.
