Explosives Found in World Trade Center Catastrophe?

In light of today’s date, I found this article to be very interesting. We all know what occurred that day, 9/11/2001, and many of us are still recovering from losses. A moment in history that surprised our nation in a way we will never forget.
Upon analyzing the rubble, a group of chemists (whose names are listed below) discovered a strange substance with very unique properties. The article below is a journal of their findings. After multiple weeks of studying the “reddish” material they came to the conclusion that large amounts of highly explosive “thermitic material” were scattered around the scene of destruction. No suggestions were made as to the appearance of the substance but it adds interesting new evidence as to what happened on that day.
Using very powerful electron microscopes, such as an FEI XL30-SFEG (SEM microscope), the scientists were able to produce very detailed charts and tables that explained the material’s size, composition, and reactivity. Their conclusions gave evidence to the many destructive characteristics of the substance as well as its composition and everyday use. Truly a very interesting find!
