Scientists in the United States recently developed a material that can be woven together to create a cut resistant layer for Kevlar suits that will improve its safety and effectiveness. Fortunately, this material will not add a significant amount of weight or change the material of Kevlar. The material is made of Titanium Tetrachloride and is introduced to the Kevlar by method of atomic layer deposition. This process occurs as substances react on the surface depositing a thin layer. I like this new advancement in Kevlar technology should lead to the improved safety for our local law enforcement officials as well as our nations’ armed forces.
