The LEDs are widely used by smartphones and many other electronic devices, and one of the reasons why LEDs are so popular nowadays is that it is far more efficient, and can last much longer than normal fluorescent lights. Moreover, scientists have discovered a way of using a new nanoscale structure, something called PlaCSH, to increase the brightness and efficiency of LEDs by 57%, and to improve the picture clarity of LED displays by 400%, which are huge improvements, and since the LEDs are so commonly used nowadays, this is really an impressive achievement.
This article caught my eye when I was browsing for a good article on a chemistry site because LED is something that we can’t live without. The nanotechnology structure the scientists discovered not only makes the LEDs better, but cheaper at the same time, because the PlaCSH organic LEDs were using nanoimprint, which is similar to the way the newspapers are made.
