Water and Hydroxide Ions
The article I picked is called, "Air-water interface is negatively charged by the adsorption of hydroxide ions." This is a very interesting article because this will make the calculation of the surface tension of water vastly different, and will make for the bettering of many appliances and machines of the modern world better. The surface tension of water can affect water's behavior and with a air-water surface tension that is negatively charged, chemists become very interested. In order to achieve an accurate reading on the surface tension of water, we must add in the hydroxide ion, so the past readings about the air-water surface tension of water has been wrong.
