This simple experiment is important to look at because it explains the pressure build up of an alka seltzer tablet in vinegar. When the two substances interact with each other, an increase in pressure is formed. The atmospheric pressure inside the bottle expands causing the bottle to detach itself from the lid. An easy experiment that easily explains pressure build up in a sealed container.
