The YouTube video I found is a basic song about all the elements. Although we aren’t expected to know the name of every element, I found the visuals that go along with the song helpful. I am a visual learner so it helps me to learn things by hearing the name of each element AND then seeing the atomic number, atomic symbol, and atomic weight. I also thought it was neat that for some of the common elements, pictures of the actual specimen were shown.By seeing pictures of these elements, I think it will be easier to identify them. I feel that teaching through song and other visual tools is a neat approach to science. It allows the field to be a little less rigid and more fun!
